Daily Responsibilities

  • Analyzing and evaluating economic, environmental, and social data to prepare comprehensive plans and strategies for land use.
  • Meeting with public officials, developers, and the public regarding development plans and land use.
  • Reviewing site plans and building proposals to ensure compliance with codes and regulations.
  • Presenting projects and proposals to communities and ensuring that urban plans conform to local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Researching and analyzing trends and data related to urban growth, including demographics, housing, and transportation.
  • Engaging with the community to understand the needs and priorities of residents.
  • Recommending approval or denial of proposals and developing policies to manage urban growth.
