Corrections Officer
Corrections Officers are responsible for overseeing individuals who have been arrested and are awaiting trial or who have been sentenced to serve time in a jail, reformatory, or penitentiary. They maintain order, enforce rules and regulations, prevent disturbances and escapes, and ensure the safety and security of both inmates and staff within the facility.

Daily Responsibilities
- Supervise inmates in various settings within the facility, such as cell blocks, yards, dining areas, and work assignments
- Conduct regular head counts of inmates and perform security checks
- Enforce prison rules and regulations and apply disciplinary measures when necessary
- Monitor inmates for unusual or suspicious behavior and intervene when necessary to prevent conflict
- Inspect facilities and living quarters for contraband items and ensure cleanliness standards are maintained
- Report any security breaches, disturbances, or violations to superiors
- Transport inmates securely between facilities for court appearances, medical appointments, or transfers
- Assist in rehabilitation programs and support inmates' efforts towards positive behavior changes
