Daily Responsibilities
- Monitor and direct the movement of aircraft on the ground and in the air.
- Communicate with pilots and provide weather updates and other critical information.
- Use radar, computers, or visual references to track aircraft.
- Authorize and regulate commercial airline flights according to government or company regulations to ensure flight safety.
- Issue takeoff and landing instructions to pilots.
- Coordinate with other air traffic control centers to transfer control of aircraft.
